A Prayer
- May you be free from stale fears and old thoughts.
- May you be independent of the voice that says "I should" and the shrill cry of "I can't".
- May the light of independence shine upon you and glow forth with a fiery brightness that proclaims the truth of who you are.
- May you sit in the presence of suffering, yours and mine, and not try to fix it. Freeing both of us to feel what we feel without turning away in shame or embarrassment.
- May you think independently of media hoopla, finding something other than bread and circus to make your days worth living.
- May you break free of the leashes that tie you to self-destructive patterns.
- May you fully embrace who you are, fully, without apology.
- May you know what you want
- May you ask for it. Ask for it boldly, freely, going through the fear of rejection.
- May you embrace yourself and your path. Looking into the mirror with curiosity and compassion.
